FEDERAL AVIATION IN NORTH CAUCASUS TO BE REFORMED

MOZDOK, November 5 (AVN) - The general Staff plans to change organisation and manpower structure of the federal aviation detachments in the North Caucasus, Anatoly Kornukov, Russian Air Forces chief commander told the Military News Agency.

Mozdok air kommandatura is to be reformed. Its chief, lieutenant-colonel Alexander Fursov says that nowadays the kommandatura cannot fulfil the tasks it has to fulfil; only air-technical base of the 1st rank that acted here during the 1st Chechen campaign may be able to accomplish all these tasks, he adds.
