RUSSIAN BALTIC FLEET WINS FIVE NAVY COMMANDER PRIZES

KALININGRAD, November 22 (AVN) - The Baltic Fleet won five prizes of the Russian Navy commander in the 1999 military training competition, a spokesman for its headquarters said on Monday.

The fleet's attack group comprised of the Bespokoiny and Nastoichivy destroyers and Neustrashimy and Neukrotimy guardships inflicted the best missile strike on a sea target. A tactical minesweeping group under command of Captain Sergei Shapar was the best in sweeping a water area.

The remaining three prizes were won by an attack detachment under command of Captain Vladimir Nizhegorodsev and aviation wings commanded by Lieutenant-Colonel Nikolai Primak and Lieutenant-Colonel Georgy Adyrkhayev.
