MURMANSK, December 2 (AVN) - An international conference on using nuclear energy for military and civil purposes started in Murmansk.
Russian Nuclear society and Murmansk steamship company organised the forum.
Over 80 scientists and specialists participate in it.
Russia is represented by Northern Fleet staff and technical service officers, Nerpa ship-repairing plant, Atomoflot repairing and technological enterprise.
The conference is to discuss over 60 reports including the ones dedicated to ecological aspects of Russian Navy's activity.
Special workshop is to discuss nuclear submarines' utilisation.
