MOSCOW, December 8 (AVN) - A military transport plane carrying 20 tons of humanitarian aid will take off the Chkalovsky airfield near Moscow and head for the North Caucasus on Friday, the Military News Agency learned.
The plane will have aboard food stuffs, medicines, school books, exercise books, stationery, household commodities and warm clothes for residents of Chechnya and Dagestan. The entire cargo was provided by the Russian Air Force.
The plane will also carry Lieutenant-General Yuri Grishin, deputy Air Force commander in charge of educational work, who was ordered to oversee transportation of aid.
