RUSSIA TO PRODUCE NEW MILTARY TRUCKS

MOSCOW, December 17 (AVN) - Under the defence state order - 2000 on scientific research and experimental design works the chief of the Defence Ministry motorised armoured department colonel-general Sergey Mayev decided to purchase several consignments of different type special machines (30 to 100 pieces each).

Uralsky, Gorkovsky and Bryansky plants will receive orders, the Military News Agency learned.

Nizhny Novgorod is to produce Vodnik (armoured) highly mobile cars GAZ-39371 and GAS-39371 for setting up heavy small arms and light artillery weapon.

Gorkovsky plant will make Sadko GAZ-3308 cross-country vehicle. Ural plant will start manufacturing Motovoz-1 type lorries includint Ural-53234 (armoured), Ural 4320 (armoured) and Ural 5420-20 for 5 to 14 ton loads for engineering troops and ground troops air defence service.

Bryansk plant will produce new generation tow cars Voschina-1 (BAZ-6909, BAZ-6402 and BAZ-69092) for mobile-tactical Iskander-M and Uragan-1M missiles and air defence missiles.
