NUCLEAR POWER STATIONS DIRECTORS TO CELEBRATE NEW YEAR IN OFFICES

MOSCOW, December 23 (AVN) - The Atomic Energy Ministry assembly gathered Thursday to discuss Y2K-readiness of its systems.

The Ministry's administration has tried to minimise computerisation of the technological processes. All date-making machines have been taken under special control.

However there are some undecided local problems. The Military News Agency learned that directors and chief engineers of nuclear power stations and military installations of the Ministry will spend New Year's night in their offices.

All information on Y2K-problem will be processed at the Ministry's anti-crisis centre.
