MOSCOW, January, 5 (AVN) - Russia is expected to finish the unified programme for military and civil shipbuilding in the first half of 2000, the Military News Agency learned from the navy armament deputy chief office.
The programme presupposes minimal allowed renewal of the navy nuclear deterrent means and combined means development.
Navy scientific committee, Navy ship-building office, Navy staff and Russian ship-building agency take part in working out the drafts of the programme; it presupposes that by 2005 Russian Navy will receive ships of the fourth generation; new type submarines and ships are also to be designed and manufactured.
The draft also presupposes that civil ship-building plants will work under concessionary tax terms; legal bases for Russian transport, scientific and roundfish ship-building credit system is also to be worked out under the programme.
