MOSCOW, January, 5 (AVN) - Russian government passed the resolution on special means and firearms used by departmental security services, the Military News Agency learned from the Government information department.
In accordance with this resolution federal security services will be armed with mechanical atomisers, overspray devices with tear-gas, special rubber sticks of three types, handcuffs, the Diana means for stopping transport and the Garpun auto-layers.
Security services will also have IZH-71 gun of 9x17 calibre, RSL-1revolvers of 9x17 calibre and cartridges to them.
They will also receive smoothbore firearms of 12/70, 12/76, 16/70, 16/76, 20/70, 20/76, 410/76 calibre, bullets and rubber cartridges for it.
The resolution also lists the weapons that security servicemen may receive if necessary.
The list includes Kedr, Liparis, Bizon, 9 mm PP-93 guns, 7.62 mm AKM amd AKMS asssault rifles.
