MOSCOW, January 11 (AVN) - The board of the Prosecutor-General's Office held an expanded session on Tuesday to sum up its work in 1999, a spokesman for the office's public relations department told the Military News Agency.
The session was attended by prosecutors from all component parts of the federation, military, transport and other specialised prosecutors, heads of federal law-enforcement bodies, the judicial system and the presidential administration, the spokesman said.
The board defined priorities of the prosecutorial work in 2000. In particular, prosecutors were charged to supervise implementation of the Constitution and federal laws in the sphere of economy, as well as to enhance controls over the state property, taxes, land exploitation, foreign trade, banking and budget.
Combating crime is still one of the top-priority issues for prosecutors, the session stressed.
