KHANKALA, January 24 (AVN) -- Interior Ministry troops and riot police units have started the second combing of the Staropromyslovsky district of the Chechen capital, a source in the Interior Ministry operative group told the Military News Agency.
The district was taken by the federals on Sunday after severe battles; shootings are still breaking out.
By 13.00 Moscow time (0800 GMT), two federal servicemen were wounded. Seven abandoned long-term firing points have been located in the basements of the buildings. Police have detained nine suspects in rebel activities.
