CHERNIGOV, Ukraine, January 31 (AVN) - The northern operative command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has finished formation of the 14th separate special helicopter detachment on the base of its 1st army aviation brigade, a source in the command headquarters told the Military News Agency.
According the source, the detachment will replace the peacekeeping helicopter unit in Kosovo by the end of February.
Colonel Alexander Korolev, deputy chief of the western operative command aviation department, will command the detachment.
At present the pilots are undergoing a special training programme for peacekeepers.
