MOSCOW, January 31 (AVN) - Chiefs of educational work of the CIS armies gathered at the local Yuri Gagarin Air Force Academy on Monday to analyse results of the Military Commonwealth '99 air defence exercise, the Military News Agency learned from the Russian Air Force Staff.
Development of the CIS Unified Air Defence System demands a new level of information support to the allied armies, Lieutenant-General Yuri Grishin, head of the Air Force educational department, told the meeting.
He also informed the participants about the aerial operations currently underway in the North Caucasus.
