MOSCOW, January 31 (ANV) -- The Russian General Staff is currently finishing the formation of its Military Scientific Committee which started in November 1999, a source in the staff told the Military News Agency.
The committee is supposed to elaborate recommendations for the R&D organisations of the Defence, as well as reduce the military science management personnel.
Presumably, the new committee will be headed by Colonel Valery Volodin, former deputy chief of the military technical policy committee.
According to the Agency's source, Volodin is one of the leading specialists in the field of rocket-building.
