RUSSIA'S IL-114T TRANSPORT FINISHES FLIGHT TESTS

MOSCOW, January 31 (AVN) -- The Ilyushin aircraft enterprise is currently finishing flight tests of the IL-114T transport, the plant's constructor-general, Nikolai Talikov, told the Military News Agency.

According to him, the main difference between the new transport and the known IL-114-100 is that it is fitted with Russian-made TV7-117S engines, instead of the Pratt Whitneys.

IL-114T will receive the CIS interstate aviation committee certificate in the beginning of March already, Talikov added.

The new transport is capable of lifting seven tons of cargo for 5,000km. The plant hopes the aircraft will be of interest for both civil and military customers.
