MOSCOW, January 31 (AVN) -- The commission on military and technical co-operation has finished its sitting chaired by acting President Vladimir Putin.
Deputy Prime Minister Ilya Klebanov, who is responsible for the defence industry spoke to the journalists after the meeting. According to him, all of the Russian arms exporters, apart from Rosvooruzheniye, have announced their intention to boost supplies.
Rosvooruzheniye head Alexey Ogarev said his company was planning to export USD2.6bn worth of arms, which is less than last year.
For the first time in the past 10 years the volume of Russian arms exports for 2000 will exceed USD4bn, Klebanov stressed. According to him, 75 percent of the supplies will be performed by the state intermediaries and 25 percent by other companies.
Speaking about the results of the military and technical co-operation last year, Klebanov did not announce the final figures, but said the approximate volume rated between USD3.5-3.6bn.
The meeting has also studied the final draft concept of military and technical co-operation until 2010.
