NOVOROSSIYSK, February 1 (AVN) - A tactical group of the Guard Airborne Division 7 stationed in the southern Russian town of Novorossiysk is being transferred to Chechnya, a division headquarters official said on Tuesday.
All units of the group have passed mountain training and studied experience of the pervious Chechnya campaign, the official told the Military News Agency. The group comprises 800 airborne troopers, he said.
