AIRBORNE TROOPERS IN CHECHNYA TO BE ROTATED

MOZDOK, February 2 (AVN) - Planned rotation is taking place in the eastern federal group in the North Caucasus, a spokesman for the unified federal headquarters told the Military News Agency.

Servicemen who have spent six months in Chechnya leave the combat area.

Airborne troopers from the Pskov division subordinated to Colonel-General Stanislav Semenyuta are the first to leave for home.

The contractors of their regiment are to replace them.

The full detachments of those airborne troopers who want to serve on a contract basis have already come to Chechnya after being trained at the places of permanent location.
