KHANKALA, February 2 (AVN) -- Another rebel group blocked in the Alkhan-Kala locality will lay down its weapons and surrender to the federal forces in several hours, a spokesman for the unified federal headquarters told the Military News Agency.
The negotiations on surrendering continued long into the night, the source added. Currently, Colonel-General Alexander Baranov, chief of the unified federal headquarters left for the area to take a final decision concerning the conditions of capitulation.
The trapped group comprises many mercenaries, the Agency's source stressed. Until present the "soldiers of fortune" have never surrendered to the federals.
The exact number of people comprising the group is to be verified yet.
