TBILISI, February 2 (AVN) -- A load of unregistered army property has been exposed in the security and supplies battalion of the Russian army group in the Trans-Caucasus, a source in the group's headquarters told the Military News Agency.
As many as 110 sets of warm camouflage uniform, which is, by the way, badly wanted in the group's units and detachments, were stored in one of the automobile hangars of the battalion. The investigation found out the sets belonged to Ensign Aaron Kurginyan, until recently chief of the Akhalkalaki 62nd base warehouse.
According to Kurginyan, he bought the uniforms at a Moscow marketplace and then shipped it to Akhalkalaki. When he was transferred to Tbilisi, he took the uniforms with him and intended to sell them to his fellow servicemen.
The real origin of the uniforms is to be determined by the group's military prosecutor's office.
