GEORGIA, ABKHAZIA NOT TO START CONFLICT ANEW

SUKHUMI, February 4 (AVN) - Georgia's State Minister Vazha Lordkipanidze and representatives of the Abkhazian side stated at the negotiations in Sukhumi that neither Georgia nor Abkhasia is interested in restarting the hostilities, the Military News Agency learned from the Abkhazian Foreign Ministry.

The incident in the Galsky district and the further situation near the Ingura river stimulated the Lordkipanidze's urgent meeting with Abkhazian President Vladislav Ardzinba.

Both sides insist that armed formations subordinate to neither of the parties caused the incidents.

Abkhazia's Prime Minister Vyacheslav Zukba stated that both sides will try to prevent provocation and hope for CIS peacemakers' help.

CIS peacemaker detachments in this particular district consist of Russian servicemen.
