KHANKALA, February 9 (AVN) - Federal aviation has accomplished 110 missions in Chechnya in the past 24 hours without any loss, a spokesman for the unified federal headquarters told the Military News Agency.
SU-24, SU-25 planes and MI-24 helicopters inflicted strikes over guerrilla positions in the Argun and Vedeno gorges, near Katyr-Yurt and Shaami-Yurt localities.
In accordance with the preliminary data federals have eliminated a guerrilla staff, nine vehicles, 12 strong points, four fortified areas, a long-term firing point, an air defence launcher and three machine-gun emplacements, made two abatis on mountain paths and damaged a bridge.
Federal transport aircraft have flown two units of equipment and 200 servicemen from the combat area.
