MOSCOW PARLIAMENT TO SUPPORT NEW CITY PROSECUTOR

MOSCOW, February 9 (AVN) - Moscow City Duma agreed on appointing Mikhail Avdyukov (who was the prosecutor of the Moscow region since 1996) Moscow City prosecutor and now it is only necessary to receive Mayor Yury Luzhkov's visa.

The mayor intends to support Avdyukov, the Military News Agency learned from the city government.

Mikhail Avdukov was born in 1948; since 1973 he works in the prosecutor's office. Was first deputy prosecutor of the Moscow region, prosecutor of the Sakhalin region, headed the General Prosecutor's Office department for laws on federal security and international relations. In 1996 he was appointed the Moscow region prosecutor.
