KIEV, February 11 (AVN) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Victor Yuschenko, Security Council Secretary Yevgeny Marchuk and Finance Minister Igor Matyukov discussed the problems of financing for 2000 with the law-enforcement authorities on their initiative, the Military News Agency learned from the Defence Ministry.
The law enforcement authorities offered a scheme that diminished demands from the budget.
The parliament is expected to have a session on the budget on February 23; the draft presupposes about USD430m for the defence needs; military men suggest that the sum should be USD160m less. The Armed Forces intend to earn the rest themselves by economic activities.
