MOSCOW, February 11 (AVN) -- Russian servicemen in Kosovo conduct peacekeeping missions at 15 control posts, 14 surveillance posts, and 13 guard posts, a spokesman for the Airborne Staff told the Military News Agency.
Apart from that Russian airborne troops go on APC patrols on 23 routes in three localities. In January alone they have searched 15,000 vehicles, detained over 50 civilians for various violations and transferred 37 to the police.
General Klaus Reinhardt, the KFOR troops commander who has recently inspected the area of the 13th tactical group under command of Lieutenant-Colonel Alexander Koshelnik, said Russian peacekeepers did excellent jobs in their zones of responsibility.
