RECRUIT STATIONS TO BLAME FOR LARGE NUMBER OF DRUG ADDICTS IN ARMED FORCES

MOSCOW, February 11 (AVN) - The juvenile department of the General Prosecutor's office together with the Chief Military Prosecutor's office studied the reasons for the increase in drug abuse in the army, a source in the General Prosecutor's office told the Military News Agency

Regional recruit stations do not co-operate with medical establishments in eliciting young men addicted to drugs; they do not keep records of drug addicted recruits, the source said.

As a result drug abusers are recruited for service. Southern Siberian Chelyabinsk region alone, that is comparatively small, have recruited 278 drug addicts.
