KHANKALA, February 11 (AVN) -- Federals continue combing the Itum-Kale locality (south end of the Argun gorge) taken by the airborne troops on Thursday, a spokesman for the unified federal headquarters told the Military News Agency.
Pioneer units have to lift mines left by the rebels in the buildings. Main roads are being restored.
The dominant hills over the Itum-Kale - Shatili (Georgia) road are under full control of the federal troops. Additional airborne, artillery, and engineering detachments were transferred to the area on Friday.
