RUSSIAN DEMOBILISING OFFICERS STUDY ENGLISH IN BRITISH COUNCIL CENTRE

ST.PETERSBURG, February 11 (AVN) - Over 120 demobilising officers studied English in the British Council for three years and received certificates, Vladimir Dudakov, a head of the local office of the British Council English Language Centre, told the Military News Agency.

The British Defence Ministry pays for the programme under the Russian-British project for retraining officers.

A four-month course of five classes a weak costs USD2,500 per person. Currently 42 officers continue their education in the centre.
