RUSSIAN, BELARUSSIAN MILITARY PROSECUTORS TO DISCUSS INTERACTION

MOSCOW, February 15 (AVN) - A delegation of Russian military prosecutors headed by Deputy Prosecutor-General and Chief Military Prosecutor Yuri Demin left for Belarus on Tuesday, the legal information and public relations department of the Military Prosecutor's Office said.

The delegation was invited to Minsk by the Belarussian military prosecutor, a department official told the Military News Agency. The main aim of its visit is to discuss implementation of the Union Treaty of Russia and Belarus in the matters within the competence of military prosecution, he said.

In the course of the visit, Demin will meet the Belarussian defence minister, prosecutor-general and other high-ranking officials.

Interaction between military prosecutor's offices of the two countries is regulated by the Co-operation Protocol of January 14, 1999, the official added.
