GROZNY TO LIVE UNDER SPECIAL REGIME TWO-THREE WEEKS MORE

KHANKALA, February 16 (AVN) - Federals in Grozny continue looking for the guerrillas (including those wounded) in the ruins of the city and clearing the city blocks of mines, a representative of the Interior Ministry troops group staff told the Military News Agency.

The rules of the unified federal headquarters that limit civilians in entering and leaving the city are not to be cancelled until it is not safe for them to remain in the Chechen capital.

The main stage of the works will last two or three weeks, specialists of the engineering troops state.

At present the engineers have disarmed about 19,000 explosive devices and cleared one fifth of the city of mines.

The preventing measures are taken against the supposed guerrilla followers both in Grozny and in the rest of the Chechnya's territory, representatives of the Interior Ministry state, adding that 32 people suspected in crimes against civilians and federals have been arrested in the Naursky district, while 50 in Nadterechny and 25 in the countryside district of Grozny.

It is unlikely that the arrested may be included in the amnesty.
