KHANKALA, February 28 (AVN) - The hostilities go on in the Argun vicinity, near the localities of Shatoi, Dachu-Borzoi and Kharsenoi, a spokesman for the unified federal headquarters told the Military News Agency.
The guerrillas badly lack arms, ammunition, food and medicines. According to military data, they go on probing actions in the disposition of the unified federal group in order to find possible ways of retreat out of the blocked areas.
Disbanded guerrilla groups, who have suffered severe losses or are no longer under control of their warlords, are now trying to breakthrough from the zone of hostilities to the Chechen part of the Russia-Georgia border and to the administrative border of Chechnya's adjacent republics of Ingushetia and Dagestan.
According to the operative information of law-enforcement agencies, members of some scattered separatist groups have been seen in the localities of the Vedeno and Nozhai-Yurt districts.
