KHANKALA, February 28 (AVN) - Federal aviation has accomplished 23 combat missions on Monday, a source in the unified federal headquarters told the Military News Agency.
Strikes were inflicted on guerrilla gatherings and fortifications in the Argun canyon and Shatoi locality, eliminating several firing points. A 50-strong rebel gang was scattered, its losses are still being verified, the source added.
Acoording to the headquarters, over 10 rebel fortified areas and strong-points have been eliminated since Sunday. A 150-strong guerrilla group attempted a breakthrough from the Argun canyon but was shelled and had to disperse. On the whole, the rebels have lost over 120 killed in the past 24 hours.
Special mopping-up operations continued in 12 liberated localities; federals extracted 50 units of firearms and 110kg of explosives.
