KALININGRAD, February 28 (AVN) - The Sibiryakov hydrographic ship of the Baltic Fleet has left St. Petersburg and is heading for the Mediterranean Sea, a spokesman for the Navy Staff said on Monday.
The ship has aboard a delegation of Russian naval surveyors which is heading for an international hydrographic conference which is to take place in Monaco from March 16 to 26, the spokesman told the Military News Agency.
The conference will be attended by delegations from 65 countries, the spokesman said. It will discuss issues related to navigation security and ocean exploration in the 21st century.
