MOSCOW, March 7 (AVN) -- Strategic Missile Forces Commander Vladimir Yakovlev on Tuesday met Yuri Solomonov, the director and designer general of the Moscow Thermotechnics Institute, a spokesman for the SMF Staff told the Military News Agency.
The two men discussed the adoption of Topol-M strategic missile launcher by the SMF, the spokesman said.
According to him, the negotiations concerned the improvement of tactical and technical characteristics of the complex, flight-designer tests, and the use of the complex by the SMF division stationed in the Tastishchevo village (Saratov region); as well as further supplies of missile equipment in the conditions of under-financing of the Armed Forces.
The SMF commander and the director of the institute elaborated the main priorities of further industrial co-operation in favour of the forces, as well as the suggestions on price policy stabilisation.
The parties also decided on the measures to be taken for development of ground infrastructure at Topol-M deployment sites.
