INTERIOR MINISTRY TROOPS CONTINUING SPECOPS IN CHECHNYA

KHANKALA, March 31 (AVN) - Over the past 24 hours in the course of special operations in Chechnya the Interior Ministry troops and policemen checked over 1,800 vehicles, a spokesman for the troops group staff said Friday.

As many as 1,643 people went through ID checks, the spokesman told the Military News Agency.

Federals extracted 14 units of firearms, eight grenades and mines, 2,063 rounds of ammo. 167 administrative violators have been exposed. The Interior Ministry troops have also demolished 11 illegal mini oil refineries, the spokesman added.
