AIRBORNE COMPUTERISED EXERCISE TO BE HELD IN MID-APRIL

MOSCOW, March 31 (AVN) - An Airborne computerised exercise is to be held at the base of the 76th Airborne division between April 10-16, a source in the service staff operative department told the Military News Agency.

The plan of the exercise envisages the training of the troops' alertness, interaction between the command and provision bodies while making an airdrop in the body of a detachment.

The command will be checked on the ability to act in close-to-combat conditions.

The chiefs-of-staff will be training different modes of actions not only on maps. The last stage of the exercise will airdrop servicemen and pieces of ordnance. Major-General Alexander Popov, airborne deputy commander will administer the exercise.
