UGLEVIC, Bosnia, April 3 (AVN) - A self-propelled artillery battery of the Russian separate airborne brigade and artillery division of the US 49th tank division, both SFOR components, held joint firing at the SFOR Glamoc testing ground, a source in the Russian brigade headquarters in Bosnia told the Military News Agency.
Before the firing the peacekeepers held training for studying technical characteristics of Russian Nona-S 2S9 120mm self-propelled cannon and American M-109 A2 155mm cannon. In the course of the joint firing the artillerists showed each other combat characteristics of their weaponry and the skills of hitting targets from open and closed firing points.
Recently appointed multinational North division commander Major-General Robert Halvserson praised the high professionalism of the Russian artillerists, who had accomplished all firing tasks.
