KOSOVO SERBS CEASING BOYCOTT OF UN ACTING ADMINISTRATION

PRISTINA, April 4 (AVN) - Kosovo Serbian community is ceasing its boycott of the UN acting administration of the territory, a source in Russian military contingent in Pristina told the Military News Agency.

The information was delivered to the contingent Commander Valery Yevtukhovich by one of the leaders of Serbian national council in Kosovo.

Serbs were boycotting the UN civil mission headed by Bernard Kouchner from September 1999 as protest against the acting administration' discriminating attitude towards Serbian population. At present they are ready to co-operate with the UN envoys. Although, for the nonce, Serbs will be taking part in the work of the acting administration as observers only, the source said.
