MOSCOW, April 13 (AVN) - Austrian Foreign Minister Benita Maria Ferrero-Waldner will leave for North Caucasus Friday morning, a source in the Russian Exterior told the Military News Agency.
Ferrero-Waldner, who holds the current chairmanship of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe, will study the general humanitarian situation and take a look at the new OSCE mission headquarters in the Chechen village of Znamenskoye, the source said. There she intends to present musical instruments and sports equipment to a local school.
OSCE representatives will also visit the town of Argun. According to Ferrero-Waldner, a mobile hospital with USD69,000 worth of equipment will be delivered there soon. The hospital was bought in Austria on public donations.
The overall sum of the preliminary humanitarian aid of the OSCE provided to Chechnya will make USD415,000. The money will be delivered to Chechnya already on Friday.
