KHANKALA, April 13 (AVN) - The formation of the 42nd division which will be stationed in Chechnya permanently is to be completed by May 1, a spokesman for the unified federal headquarters told the Military News Agency.
A composite motorised rifle regiment formed in the Moscow region on the basis of the Taman guard division has already arrived in the North Caucasus military district, the spokesman said. Another motorised rifle regiment previously stationed in the Leningrad district has already started relocation to Chechnya.
Units of the 42nd division will be stationed in the Grozny suburb Khankala and the Kalinovskaya village, where cantonments for their accomodation are already being built.
