RUSSIA TO SUPPLY SU-30MKK FLANKERS TO CHINA IN 2000

Moscow, April 14 (AVN) - The supplies of the SU-30MKK Flanker planes to China will begin late August 2000, in accordance with the contract signed in 1999, Alexei Knyshev, Sukhoi design bureau deputy director general told the Military News Agency.

A total of 30-35 two-seat Flankers will be supplied to China by the Komsomolsk-on-Amur aviation enterprise in the next two years.

The Sukhoi aviation enterprise is currently holding talks on supplies of Flankers to Malaysia, Vietnam and South Korea.

The design bureau has taken a decision to exhibit SU-35 at a Korean tender. 10 planes of the type have been built to date, Knyshev said.
