MOSCOW, April 19 (AVN) - In accordance with the directive of the Defence Minister the military institutes of the army, artillery and engineer profile are holding an early graduation of young officers, a source in the ministry's military education department told the Military News Agency.
It is conducted in connection with the lack of junior command officers - platoon commanders and company deputy commanders - in land, missile and artillery, engineer, communication forces and in the detachments of the unified federal group.
The list of higher military establishments to hold early graduation includes about 20 military educational establishments of the Defence Ministry, locating in Blagoveshensk, Novosibirsk, Kazan, Chelyabinsk, Omsk, Saratov, Kolomna, Penza, Tula, Volsk and other cities of Russia.
The military institutes, which have already launched officers, have opened new admission. The applications of young men of 16 to 22 years old are received in the military committee at the place of their residence until April 20. There is a notice that the admission of women into the higher military educational establishments is temporary suspended.
