REBEL RADIO COMMUNICATION CENTRE EXPOSED IN GROZNY

MOZDOK, April 26 (AVN) - As many as 26 crimes have been recorded in the territory of the Chechnya republic since Tuesday, the Military News Agency learned from the temporary press-centre of the North Caucasian interior department.

20 of them have been detected. As a result of special operations, 20 assault rifles and some 2,500 rounds of ammo have been extracted.

Eight attacks were unleashed on the federal outposts and Interior Ministry units overnight to Wednesday. In three of the cases the federals returned fire. The police suffered no losses.

A rebel radio communication centre was exposed in a SPECOP in the Staropromyslovsky district of Grozny on Tuesday. This centre could be used for intercepting the communications of the federals. Specialists think that the equipment has been seized by the rebels back in the times of the first campaign of 1994-1996.

Officers of the operative department have already listed the persons who are connected with this guerrilla installation.
