MOSCOW, May 6 (AVN) - The 1st motorised rifle regiment of the Taman guard motorised rifle division will return from Chechnya to Moscow region's Alabino, point of its permanent stationing on May 7, a source in the Moscow military district staff told the Military News Agency.
The regiment was sent to the unified federal group in January 2000. Another Taman division regiment is still participating in the hostilities in Chechnya. It is the 15th motorised rifle regiment, which has been in Chechnya since October 1999. Its return to the point of permanent stationing was planned for March. But according to the decision of the federal command the regiment was moved across Ingushetia to southern Chechnya, where there was an escalation of the situation back then.
