MOSCOW, May 10 (AVN) - 28 lightly wounded and sick stay in the airmobile hospital of the airborne operative group in Chechnya, Major-General Vyacheslav Solntsev, head of the airborne medical service told the Military News Agency.

"Notwithstanding the grievous character of fragged and bullet wounds, 76 percent of the wounded airborne returned to service, " Solntsev said.
In the course of the anti-guerrilla operation medical service suffered severe losses, seven paramedics were killed, two wounded. The whole personnel was given awards for courage and professionalism. In particular 20 paramedics received the Order of Courage, and Lieutenant-Colonel Igor Milyutin, head of the reanimation department of the 106th airborne division airmobile hospital was conferred the title of the Hero of Russia.
