SLAVICH CO IMPLEMENTS UNIQUE CONVERSION PROGRAMMES

YAROSLAVL, Central European Russia, May 10 (AVN) - The state defence order makes less than one percent in the total production volume of the local Slavich plant, which is the country's largest photo chemicals company, Oleg Kharin, deputy director general of the plant said Wednesday.

Given that, a considerable part of production facilities is being shifted to conversion programmes, Kharin told the Military News Agency.

For instance the plant has started the production of thermal and energy-saving foil. This foil can be used both in the army (for masking tanks and other materiel, making them practically invisible for IR-imagers,) as well as in construction and other industries where energy saving technologies are being implemented.

Among other conversion projects of the plant is the dry foil brazing mask, which by far outmatches all of its foreign analogues, especially pure aluminium and alloys based on it, which are used in the production of printed circuit boards and other microelectronics elements.
