RADIOTECHNICS R&D INSTITUTE GOES ON CONVERSION PROGRAMMES

MOSCOW, May 10 (AVN) - Central Radiotechnics R&D Institute is actively entering conversion developments and technologies market, Alexey Shulunov, vice president of the Defence Industry Support League told the Military News Agency.

One of the most interesting conversion projects of the institute is a new system for automating railroad rolling stock and a video-tester for express blood analyses in laboratory or field conditions.

According to Shalunov, the video-tester interests potential clients from India, Kenya and other countries. The tester can detect the presence of malaria, tuberculosis and other diseases carriers. The projective cost of one device is about USD1,000 and the expenses for mass-output preparation will not outreach USD600,000.
