RUSSIA COMPLETES MOBILISATION TASKS FOR CIVIL FLEET

MOSCOW, May 12 (AVN) - The Navy Staff has completed the elaboration of new mobilisation tasks for civil fleet vessels, the Military News Agency learned from the Navy information department.

These documents has not been revised for the past 15 years, a service official said. The new mobilisation tasks define the ways of transfer and application of vessels of the Northern, Baltic, Azov-Black Sea, Far East, Arctic and Caspian areas for transportation of military-purpose cargo.

The tasks also list the necessary equipment supplies for civil vessels and outlines the framework of their activities in the open sea in the period of threat, the official went on.

The mobilisation tasks also form the schedule for civil fleet organisations and departments within the frames of mobilisation capacities maintenance, he added.
