BALASHIKHA, Moscow Region, May 12 (AVN) - The local Rubin aviation corporation and the Far Eastern Komsomolsk-on-Amur aircraft building company have signed an agreement on supplies of spares for SU-30MKK Flanker multipurpose fighter, Boris Okulov, Rubin's director general said on Friday.
The agreement involves a large part of aviation wheels and braking devices with automated anti-skid systems, Okulov told the Military News Agency.
The systems have been developed especially for the SU-30MKK (supplies from Komsomolsk-on-Amur to China) and SU-30MKI (supplies from Irkutsk to India), the director general said.
According to him, the corporation has already developed over 250 standard size wheels with and without brakes, over 200 highly reliable and effective braking and anti-skid automated systems that allow to considerably decrease the stopping distance.
In 1999 the Komsomolsk-on-Amur factory alone has received 15 sets of wheels and braking systems. According to the present agreement this year this number will reach 50, given the increase in export contracts of the far eastern company, Okulov added.
