MINE WAR GOING ON IN CHECHEN ROADS

GROZNY, May 12 (AVN) - A bus with peaceful population was blown on a guided land mine 200 metres north of the locality of Dzhaglargi, north-east of the Nozhai-Yurt district on Friday morning, Lieutenant-General Ivan Babichev, military commandant of the Chechnya security zone told a news briefing Friday.

Three people died, 18 were wounded. The wounded were delivered to the hospitals of Avtyry and Kurchaloi localities.

The militants blew up another land mine under the locality of Alkhan-Kala three kilometres north of Grozny when a police UAZ truck was coming by. Two policemen were injured.
