TBILISI, May 23 (AVN) - Georgia is ending preparations for the Georgian-US MED CARE 2000 training that will be held from June 15 to 22 in the vicinity of Koda, near the country's capital, a source in the Defence Ministry told the Military News Agency.
The 11th motorised rifle brigade base deployed in the area will put into operation all installations built in accordance wit the plan of the training in the near future.
The manoeuvres are aiming at training interaction between the military and civil medical personnel in performing humanitarian missions. They will be attended by about 70 US and 120 Georgian military doctors. The US government allocated USD150,000 for the training.
